FAQs
Should I buy tickets in advance?
We do recommend this, as the shows can often sell out before the day.
There may be tickets left on the door, but we do advise checking our website, or Facebook page on the day, where we will announce if that night is sold out.
What time do the shows start and finish?
Most shows start promptly at either 8.00pm or 8.30pm, depending on the venue.
And will then finish approx. 10.15pm or 10.45pm.
All our venues have a bar, which opens about an hour before the show starts, so plenty of time to get your drinks.
Can we bring a stag or hen party?
We don’t discourage all male or female groups, but would rather you come to enjoy a night of comedy rather than just get drunk and heckle the acts.
Any noisy groups who have just come to chat and be rowdy will spoil the night for everyone else.
Can I talk or heckle during the show?
No. Our shows are set up in a theatre style layout and we want all our audience to enjoy their night out. Sometimes an act may invite interaction, in which case please feel free to join in.
Otherwise, please don’t talk when the acts are on as it spoils it for everyone who has come to see the show, and you may be asked to leave if you continue to cause a disruption to the night.
Do I have to be 18 to come along?
The shows may contain themes and material of an ‘adult’ or ‘edgy’ nature, and therefore we recommend that the minimum age of our audience is 16.
Can I reserve seats?
The rooms are usually set up theatre style with unreserved seating. There are enough seats for everyone and they are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The venue and bar open about an hour before the show, so plenty of time to get a good spot before the comedy starts.
Can you guarantee I’ll see a specific act advertised?
We do try our very hardest, but sometimes due to circumstances beyond our control, an act may not be able to make the night and there will be an alternative act on the line up.
Do the venues have disabled access?
There is level access to the rooms used for the comedy at the Riverside Arts Centre venue in Sunbury, as well as disabled toilets on the premises.
Most venues we have shows at do have disabled access, but please email us in advance to check and to let us know if you would like us to allocate a space for a wheelchair.
Can I get a discount for a group booking?
Occasionally - yes. Email us via the Contact page with details of how many people you want to bring, and the date of the show, and we’ll try and offer some form of discount if we have availability.
Can I get a refund if someone in my party can’t make the night?
Sadly, we do not give refunds or exchanges on any tickets once purchased.
How do I get in touch if I want to ask a question?
If there’s anything else you want to ask, please message us via the Contact page.
Can I perform at Laughing Chili?
All the acts are carefully chosen to give a good, balanced night of comedy, and we never book acts we haven’t seen live.
Have a look at our line-ups, and If you think you’re up to the standard, then please email us a link to a video of your act, and tell us where you are performing in the near future.
What's the fastest animal on Earth?
The cheetah.
What the dickens has that last question got to do with a comedy club?
The first person to email in and tell us what film that's from will win themselves two free tickets to the next show. *
